Both Yoga and Art are a means to experiencing life through a kaleidoscope of richer meaning and awareness.
The benefits of yoga are many. A calmer more peaceful acceptance and happiness is one of the greatest gifts it has to offer. Stress-release, greater flexibility, body toning and strengthening are physical benefits of the asanas (special stretching and releasing exercises).
Yoga Meditation and Relaxation is where the benefits of deeper connection are experienced.
The benefits of Painting and Drawing and other forms of creative expression extend our perception of life and also require a quiet contemplation of thought processes.
Visualisation skills, fine motor skills, left and right brain activity, using the imagination and developing the mechanics of painting techniques can all be attributed to a richer way of living.
Lennox Head Artist and Yoga Instructor, Anna Heggie is offering expressive and exciting new workshops in both Yoga and Painting these holidays at her Studio-Lounge in Lennox Head. Workshop places have been filling quickly so more have been scheduled to commence soon.

In February, Anna will run a new class called “Ageless Yoga”. This is a class for those who feel they would like the benefits of yoga in a positive small group atmosphere. The class combines Yoga styles, Pranayama and Relaxation to reduce stress, improve muscle tone and flexibility. A must for all.
Anna is also offering a highly beneficial Workshop Series in Yoga Arts Fusion called “Creative Expression Yoga” which integrates Yoga asanas, Flowing Movements, Pranayama, Visualisation and Deep Relaxation with The Creative Arts.
Participants are asked to keep a weekly journal in which both Visual and Written expression plays an important part. Yoga asanas help to loosen the body and open the heart whilst creative activities such as Painting and Drawing, work on expressing thoughts, ideas and feelings.
The sessions lead to a healthier body, greater self-awareness and to personal transformation. Yoga Arts Fusion works to reduce stress and anxiety and to construct avenues for more positive expression.
Anna has been a Visual Arts teacher and professional Artist/Photographer/ Painter for many years and as a Yoga Instructor she brings a new dimension to creative expression yoga for health of mind, body and soul.
